Wayfinding Strategist and Designer

Guide Studio seeks an Experiential Design Consultant to work with us on a project-to-project basis. Candidates should be able to present experience in planning and designing wayfinding systems for communities, neighborhoods, downtowns, or similar civic-based entities. 5-10 years
of direct experience in the field of Experiential or Environmental Graphic Design (EGD), including designers, planners, and architects.

A person who is energized by new opportunities and challenges, likes to work collaboratively, and takes pride in being a strategic and innovative problem-solver would thrive working with our team.

  • Strategy, design, and implementation of community or civic-based signage, wayfinding programs.

  • Translate strategy into smart, purposeful wayfinding solutions

  • Ability to conceptualize and develop comprehensive wayfinding programs that include several sign types and/or wayfinding tools

  • Understand how to design toward local sign codes and national regulations, such as MUTCD, FHWA, and DOT

  • Develop experiential graphic design elements based on user-centric principles related to community engagement and interaction
