At Guide Studio, every team member brings their own story, passion, and expertise to the table. Today, we’re excited to introduce Day Corso, one of the newest additions to our talented design team. Day’s journey into design has been fueled by creativity, curiosity, and a desire to create meaningful connections—and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them on board
A Creative Foundation
For Day, creativity has always been second nature. Growing up in a family that nurtured imaginative thinking, Day discovered the joys of making and designing early. Whether it was cutting paper, watercoloring, or experimenting with tools, Day’s parents fostered an environment where creativity was celebrated.
“My dad taught me to use a drill when I was three,” Day shared. “That environment shaped me—thinking outside the box and making the most of what you have is the foundation of who I am.”
Why Guide Studio?
Day’s path to Guide Studio began with a bit of serendipity. After months of searching for a role that resonated with their skills and values, Day stumbled upon our job posting.
“It felt like glitter fell from the sky,” Day laughed. “I saw the name ‘Guide Studio,’ explored your projects, and thought, ‘This is it.’ Everything about your language and mission aligned with how I approach my work.”
Day’s dedication to authenticity and their knack for human-centered design made them a perfect fit for our collaborative team.
The Joy of Layered Design
Ask Day about their favorite projects, and they’ll tell you the complex ones excite them the most. From medical campuses to multi-entity wayfinding systems, Day loves the challenge of unraveling intricate problems to find holistic solutions.
“I thrive in projects where multiple perspectives come together,” Day explained. “It’s about finding those golden nuggets of collective insight and creating something functional and beautiful that truly makes a difference.”
Beyond the Desk
Outside of work, Day’s interests reflect their thoughtful and creative nature. They love handpoke tattooing—a hands-on craft that contrasts beautifully with their digital design work. Day also enjoys slow walks with loved ones, experimenting with new recipes, and watercoloring.
When asked for a fun fact, Day revealed their runner-up streak in soapbox derby racing as a kid—a testament to their competitive spirit and resilience, even when faced with questionable timekeeping!
Bringing Warmth and Functionality
At Guide Studio, Day hopes to bring “warmth and freshness, but also a grounded energy.” Their approach to design balances heart, gut, and brain—blending intuition with practicality to craft solutions that resonate deeply with communities.
As Day puts it, “I hope to help clients walk on their own while delicately holding space for them. It’s about being a guide, being true to yourself, and creating something that truly reflects the people and places we serve.”
