At Guide Studio, we believe in the power of passionate people to shape meaningful places—and Mollie Mytinger fits right in. With a deep love for storytelling, a knack for collaboration, and a thoughtful design philosophy, Mollie brings a unique perspective to our team and our clients.
Where Creativity Meets Craft
For Mollie, design isn’t just a career—it’s in her DNA. Inspired by her great-grandfather, an architect, and her grandmother, a master crafter of whimsical creations, Mollie grew up surrounded by creativity. “Design and crafting were always a part of my life,” Mollie shares. “I’ve been drawn to storytelling and immersive experiences since I was young.”
Her passion for bringing visual stories to life took root in high school theater, where she thrived in stage and costume design. From there, Mollie pursued a degree in visual communications, setting her sights on the built environment and how design shapes how people interact with spaces.
Making an Impact Through Design
Mollie is driven by the idea that design is more than aesthetics—it’s about creating lasting impact. Her favorite projects are those that solve problems, serve communities, and leave a legacy. “I believe design is a selfless act. It’s not about us; it’s about guiding others and bringing their visions to life,” she explains.
She’s particularly passionate about wayfinding and signage, seeing them as vital communication tools that help people feel confident and connected in their surroundings. “Good design removes uncertainty and invites people to engage with a space,” Mollie says. “It’s about clear communication, empathy, and collaboration.”
Why Guide?
From the start, Mollie was captivated by Guide Studio’s intentionality and passion. “The team’s commitment to connecting people and places is inspiring,” she says. Mollie was also drawn to the opportunity to grow alongside a team of uniquely skilled individuals while contributing her own expertise in storytelling and education. “There’s so much I can learn here, and I’m excited to bring value to the team and our clients.”
Design with a Personal Touch
Mollie’s design approach reflects her belief in active listening and thoughtful collaboration. “Sometimes the best form of communication is sitting back and really absorbing what’s being said,” she notes. Mollie values empathy and openness, fostering solutions that are as practical as they are creative.
She also emphasizes the importance of clear and direct communication, especially when balancing creativity with the practical realities of budgets and timelines. “Successful projects start with realistic expectations and healthy boundaries,” Mollie explains. “It’s all about advocating for the client and making informed, intentional decisions.”
Creativity, On and Off the Clock
When she’s not designing, Mollie indulges her eclectic interests. A book collector and avid reader, she treasures the “little trophies” that grace her shelves. Her creative hobbies range from cross-stitching to crafting junk journals filled with memories from her travels. She also loves exploring new trails with her rescue dog, Maverick.
Fun fact: Mollie has a background in Highland Dance and even performed around the country as a child. “I wore a kilt and danced around swords—it was such a unique and fun experience,” she laughs.
Looking Ahead
At Guide Studio, Mollie is excited to help clients celebrate what makes their communities special. “I want to highlight the unique features of each place and remind people of what’s extraordinary about their surroundings,” she shares. Through her work, Mollie aims to connect people to stories, places, and possibilities in ways that inspire pride and engagement.
