The City of Hilliard partnered with Guide Studio to develop a compelling place brand identity and intuitive wayfinding system for its new community wellness and recreation center, “The Well.” Driven by the city’s vision for inclusivity, active community participation, and thoughtful growth, this collaborative project created a vibrant, state-of-the-art facility that serves as a welcoming hub for residents of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Through interactive brand discovery workshops, extensive stakeholder engagement, and thoughtful planning, Guide Studio captured Hilliard’s unique character, innovative spirit, and community values, resulting in a fresh and engaging brand identity. The visual elements of The Well were designed to reflect the city’s commitment to connectivity, wellness, and community pride, setting it apart from traditional municipal buildings.
The comprehensive wayfinding system was strategically developed to enhance visitor experiences, prioritizing ease of navigation, clarity, and accessibility. Tailored directional signage, intuitive directories, engaging placemaking graphics, and dimensional lettering were thoughtfully integrated into the architecture to create a seamless and user-friendly visitor journey.
