The City of Wixom stands at an exciting crossroads, blending its proud industrial heritage with an energized vision for the future. With incredible amenities—including vibrant parks, a bustling, evolving downtown, regional multi-use trails, and thriving business opportunities—Wixom is positioned as a dynamic community where residents, businesses, and visitors converge. However, despite these strengths, Wixom faced challenges in wayfinding clarity and brand perception, particularly around downtown recognition and connectivity to key attractions.

Guide Studio worked closely with Wixom’s community stakeholders to address these challenges, conducting workshops, surveys, and immersive site explorations. Our team developed a refreshed, meaningful brand identity that captures Wixom’s approachable and active personality while reinforcing its position as a regional hub. The innovative wayfinding and signage strategy was crafted to enhance visitor experiences, clearly guiding residents and visitors alike to downtown, trails, parks, and local businesses.

Distinct, scalable signage, featuring clear, concise messaging and impactful placemaking elements, now provides both practical guidance and visual storytelling. Strategic gateways, directional signs, and interpretive graphics create inviting pathways to Wixom’s vibrant downtown and natural amenities, strengthening community pride and turning visitors into advocates.
