Guide Studio Press Release
Studio Graphique Changes Name to Guide Studio, Inc.
Leading strategic consultancy firm celebrates 20 years of connecting people to places and adds marketing and communications to portfolio.
CLEVELAND – April 5, 2017 – Leveraging two decades of experience in branding and wayfinding for place-based clients, Studio Graphique is rebranding itself as Guide Studio, Inc. and broadening its services to include marketing and communications.
“Our new name more precisely reflects who we are today, as a strategic consultancy that guides clients through a results-driven process – that could be helping communities discover and develop a brand, designing a wayfinding program to help visitors navigate a complex hospital campus, or creating marketing plans to tell brand stories and build positive reputations,” said Rachel Downey, founder and president.
Guide uses branding, marketing and wayfinding to help places with people traffic create purposeful experiences for visitors, residents, customers or whoever engages with the client’s brand or place. The consultancy leverages its strategy and design chops to tackle projects that are both in a physical space (such as signage and branded environments), as well as virtually (including websites and internet marketing).
The firm’s notable clients include Cleveland Indians, Heinen’s, University Circle, Inc., University Hospitals, City of Oberlin and Sandusky among other widely visited destinations throughout Ohio and the Midwest.
“We believe that every public space has boundless potential for economic vitality,” said Downey. “Through our work, we invigorate communities, institutions and venues, enhancing experiences at every turn and helping our clients make a positive and lasting impact.”
Downey founded the firm 20 years ago, at age 25. An analytical strategist and motivational leader, she is known for her keen ability to shape how people interact with public entities and environments. She has been a board member of COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises), trains entrepreneurs through EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization), and frequently speaks and authors articles on community branding.
“It’s an honor to work in a space where the outcomes of our process can influence the experiences of thousands, helping to connect people to new places, building brand loyalty and economic impact along the way,” she said. “With 20 years in business and countless more in combined experience, the Guide team understands the complexities of places and the unique solutions they require.” Managing Principal, Cathy Fromet added, “Our new name, Guide, simply states what we do best. We guide clients on how to use brand as a tool for better audience engagement and experience – physically and virtually. We are excited for this next chapter as we continue to grow and expand our portfolio.”
